“From Reality To Myth Nijinsky”
Beit Ariela, Tel Aviv 1995
An exhibition that dealt with the life and image of the great Russian dancer and choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky [1888-1950]. The exhibition followed the stations in Nijinsky's life from the glory to the madness.
The art works in the exhibition move between figurative and abstract, through the symbolic.
“Anatomy Of A Myth”
Jerusalem Theater 1998
The second exhibition also dealt with the image and the spirit of Nijinsky but this time through the movement of his figure. The themes of the exhibition were expressed through a colorful palette, various materials and large-scale wooden bases.
“Caressing”
Beit Haam Gallery, Tel Aviv 1998
This exhibition was a kind of a station for me: For a period of time I worked with live male models. The works in the exhibition were mostly drawings of male body parts, especially feet.
“For Your Feet Only”
The Artists' Residence, Herzliya 1999
This entire exhibition dealt with feet and leg: videos, paintings, a big sculpture of a foot and three auto-portraits of myself as the observer. Real obsession.
New series
This series started while I was in Paris for a few months in 2000. Inspired by Christian art, Classical art and other things who knows what, my art work became "golden”.
The themes of this series began with my auto-portraits then moved on to other portraits with a certain medieval look (parts of faces and more). Two pieces from this series appeared in the Traces exhibition. [Jerusalem Artists House Nov 2001]
Orphans
The works that appear here did not appear any exhibition since they were created in between the different phases of my work - in the process of creation they were the beginnings that led to other works that eventually appeared in exhibitions
